Despite all the focus on the potential impact of an anti-vaccination campaigner running the Department Of Health and Human Services (DHHS), there is no focus on the fact that this individual would be head of the Federal Government’s largest spending Department. According to the U.S. Government’s Federal Financial Statements for the year ending September 30, 2023, the Net Cost for the DHHS was $1.71 trillion!! This fact may surprise many; the next highest are the Department of Veteran Affairs ($1,45 trillion), Social Security Administration ($1.43 trillion), and then the agency most might think is number 1, the Department of Defense ($1.0 trillion). DHHS is a multi function federal agency providing services to and the regulation of many critical areas of our economy and society.

Does RFK have the financial experience and fiscal leadership skills for this position?
